i agree, he's a mother (i mean, he did conceive) now, so to speak. the mother's first priority is (usually) the safety of their child... he's just thinking of toshimaru and he's grasping at straws here, so he didn't know who else to go to except that shady mf hakugin (and dodome)
He went to the mountains cause he was scared Toshimaru would die. He doesn't even know much about the realms, Coro didn't give him much info, and the only people he could rely on are Coro's brothers, who seemed nice enough at first. The eye licking was traumatizing but Yurrito has been left in the dark about those things. He's just trying to keep his kid alive
