it is a bit odd that he put them in the bed again after they were broken once, but a lot of people where i live put glasses next to them when they sleep, bedside tables aren't too common. though in the manga it was probably just for comedy.
In the first story, all I gotta say is, why would you put your glasses in bed with you in the first place? Especially after the first time they broke? Wouldn't you normally put those on the bedside table?
