I like it; however, I'm not fond of them trying to describe the queen as one of the commoners, and making characters like Rodilia say that she is "one of us" just because she befriended some commoner kids when she was young. I don't see her as one of the commoners because she only played with them, she didn't experience the challenges that come with growing up as a commoner because even though she grew up on an island, she still grew up in a rich family's house. And that is totally okay, but I would have liked the writers to describe her as an ally, not as one of the commoners, because in reality she grew up as a noble.
They also use this (Agatha befriending some commoners when she was younger) as the main reason why we should see her as a wonderful queen/human being. But I just don't think that is enough. I don't think she really cares that much about her people. She even suggested running away with the king without even thinking that everyone else could be sacrificed if the king actually agreed to run away with her. So I guess I just don't like the commoner's acceptance of her. I would have like to see her do more before the mercenaries put all their trust in her. And on another note, I think it would have also been nice if the male lead was a commoner/mercenary instead of a fallen noble leading mercenaries.
I think that until now my favorite queen is navier from remarried empress, she is still a noble, but she is kind and very fitting of an empress. She is definitely not a commoner, but that doesn't mean she can't be an ally.

However, this is still a good manhwa, and I will keep reading maybe I'll change my opinion later.

It’s just my two cents, but honestly when I read that scene where Rodilia accepted her, it never crossed my mind that Rodilia accepted her as a commoners. When she said “she’s just like us”, I think she was referring as to how MC is just as humane as all of them, where she has suffered and plagued with guilt, and that she is different from those pompous conceited nobles. That’s how I interpreted the scene!
