I think this story would’ve been better if it hadn’t abandoned its focus on Mao halfway thru. Weird seeing a manga literally named after her, & so fundamentally driven by her, end w her as just an extra in a crowd. Ntm, I would’ve preferred to see Mao end up w Nina, & Ryouma w the kid he was in a band w (lol). Just felt like Nina treated Mao more like an equal, & Ryouma just felt destined for homosexuality LMAO (& for the record (on the Ryouma bit)—I’m playing. Just, if Ryouma & Mao couldn’t b together, I saw potential in Mao x Nina)
