I'm sorry but am i the only one who is confused on how this man got only four years in prison. You mean to tell me that hes hooked on hard narcotics and was pimping actual minors yet only got a measly four years in jail. Idk how the japanese justice system works but that ain't right. Take him back because that menace needs to be locked up for life. They really looked at maya over here abusing children and disfiguring their bodies to sell them for sex work to fuel his active addiction and said "in 4 years we'll release him back into society". Nooo what i think you need to do is keep him behind bars.

Look up the Junko Furuta case. The legal systems in Japan and South Korea are… certainly different. I know there is often outcry from the citizenry. Maybe one day they will change their systems.

Honestly, I was thinking to myself logistically how can 4 years change a man whose been twisted for so long? How could 4 years change anybody to such an extent? Are the measures they put in place really doing anything if punishment is incredibly off scale in terms of the crime committed. How can 4 years serve as justice to people who suffered through his torment lasting more than twice of the time he got. How can you assure in 4 years this person will no longer be a threat ? I feel as if those countries are doing a disservice to the citizens their supposed to protect, the indisputable morals that everyone should hold to high regard and the victims who suffered as a result of such actions.
