To anyone still reading season 2: Have there actually been any major discoveries in the story? Or can it still be boiled down to "Oh Soleite struggled to get Brian's approval and love; and how he's finally got it and now works beside him!" like... I don't want to read 40+ chapters if there haven't been any developments that affect/reveal anything about season 1/current timeline :X

The history of Brian and Soleite is NICE, but I don't think it warrants an entire season to itself if it doesn't have any bigger plot relevance imo maybe I'll try to read it later on and just pretend season 1 didn't happen and that it's its own story for my own sanity

Of course there's developments. We are actually seeing how Sol's character came into being, his love for his country, his character growth from an arrogant dragon to someone who has spent centuries guarding humanity. We can actually see the Sol from season 1 now in this most recent chapter. The author has done a damn good job at showing organic personality growth.

I know there's character development, and that's always welcomed, but I meant the actual plot like are there any discoveries/plot twists that change the perspective of season 1? Anything related to the church or the cardinal's motives...
