its been a while since i’ve read this and i gotta say you guys are putting way too much thought into what i said, but ill elaborate.

nao is trash because he’s a bad person. nothing to do with the other shit you guys said, he’s just scum. for example, he invited eri to stay over even though he KNEW he would have customers later on. He then exposed eri to a very uncomfortable situation. Imagine staying over at a friends house and waking up in the middle of the night to them having loud ass sex? Doesn’t matter if it’s his work or not, he’s absolute trash for doing that. Eri literally asked if there were hotels nearby, but nao was the one who insisted he stay over.

I’m sure i’ll find other examples if i bothered to reread, but this is what i gleaned from the literal first chapter in like 30 seconds. nothing wrong with characters being bad people btw, i actually prefer that.

or maybe he has been growing up, living off of being a prostitute, its his lifestyle so he doesn't think much about what a childhood friend of his might think? im pretty sure growing up like that his whole life makes him not care or couldn't care less about what others might think. hes just very very brain dead about it, im pretty sure
