Reread

I reread this story after years since I completely forgot majority of the contents.

I wanna note that it’s interesting how all 4 didn’t ever truly have their feelings swayed. Kaoru, you could tell always loved Yuka and his true feelings never changed, yuka was the only one for him. Taiga, despite thinking of yuka- he was more interested in the idea of fated mates and you could tell he never had any true feelings for yuka. Tbh during the section when rin was introduced, I was really annoyed lmfao. I realized that despite 3 whole people shown to be in front of their fated mates, they may have physically reacted but all 3 had enough sanity to think properly and resist. Whereas rin, couldn’t even think clearly whatsoever- I think rin always had mental issues even before his fated mate showed up for him to think that way.

The one part I think people haven’t pointed out was the first end of rin and taiga’s story. Literally as rin was still wanting kaoru, all it took was one “I wanna be your pair” phrase at the last few pages and rin easily just said okay. Like rin’s feelings felt like it wasn’t properly shown enough for it to be believable that he was in love with taiga when he accepted. Makes me feel like he fell in love after the bond. Overall in my opinion I don’t think rin’s personality was shown well compared to the other three. He seemed a lot more boring and didn’t have much dynamic to his character other than being the sad one. Similar to other bottom characters this author loves to make, depressed with trauma is their main personality- that’s what the author feels like they like.

Oh to add about the statement about the all 4 not swaying: yuka didn’t seem to share much connection or feelings for taiga despite being his fated pair. It’s interesting how neither of them recognized it. Which makes me believe these guys were really too young and were just learning how their bodies changed and were affected by things. (Not that it excuses the SA, just to give some understanding that they were middle schoolers instead of the average high school teens or adults that do the same and know the full consequences).

Tbh I don’t know what I meant with rin when I included him in the 4 lmao. Rin’s character was so poorly developed in terms of learning his true feelings before he was settled into a serious relationship.
