This is what I don't understand about most people in the comments. This is Mingwa, she has a fully complete story that people hated in the beginning and now it's basically a yaoi cult classic. Yet people are in the comments hating Jinx as if it's not just like Bj Alex. I dunno I just don't get why people don't drop it if they really hate it this much

Don’t get me wrong, I adore BJ Alex and Jinx, I was just poking fun at the very similar plot line. I will read this till the day I die :) They are different enough for me to honestly enjoy reading them, even though I would like a different storyline, other than a ‘submissive zero confidenxe bottom’ and ‘big broad shoulder kinda toxic but later not’ top

Oh no I totally get and agree with your comment! I was just venting a little because I'm tired of people loving BJ Alex and in the same breath loosing their minds (in a bad way) over jinx. Personally I enjoy power bottoms but there are very few stories with that storyline (≧∀≦)

whilst i agree with what you're saying, I personally think the different receptions between the two are both Dan and DG's responses to the toxicity in their lives. Yes BJ Alex and Jinx have a very similar structure, but at least DG had some self respect and was able to assert boundaries (which I hope ends up happening with Dan). Dan however, due to his circumstances, lets himself be walked all over to a point where DG would likely have quit already, which frustrates a lot of people, I think. I think people are jumping the gun with Jinx though because we very clearly are not even close to being done with the storyline so I think its unfair to completely write it off like people have.
