So... he should have waited for someone the same age knowing it's impossible? Or should he have lived all those years alone past 50?
I understand age difference is a big matter for many but regarding vampire stories there is no point in this at all... Especially since it's purely fictional. Romance in other fantasy/SF novels would have never existed if people only stopped at what is possible or not (Twilight, Lord of the Rings, etc)
For those who are talking about incest.... You apparently haven't read more than half the manga.

He's not her real brother. He has lived for a thousand of years before Yuki was born, he was revived by Rido (the crazy uncle) who has sacrified a baby in order to bring Kaname back to life. If I'm not mistaken the baby was the first born of Yuki's parents. They still took Kaname (who became a baby because he didn't have much life force) as their child and then years later Yuuki was born.
Really, don't be such fragile readers who insult the manga and the author just because of your beliefs ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
