i personally feel like it fit, i absolutely agree, the rape scence is fucked up but considering the title and the way he acted during the beginning of the story, made us understood why he was acting this way, granted it wasnt necessary at all but i believe esol wrote it with my thought in mind.
Yeah it says innocence and the way the title paper gets ripped through the trauma chapters just means that the rape was coming either way

They obviously didn't want to show it but the hands reaching out to him and yeonwoos reaction after that shows that they assaulted him
This may be a hot take, but the rape wasn't necessary. It was just a disturbing moment to run the point that "oh this is so fucked up what he through" into the ground. They could've just not have fucking gangrape and have it still make sense. It was a pure shock element, not anything else.
