People forget that in this story they doesn't understand conscience. Here they haven't learn what is love and how to be loved. Literally both characters grow up learning how to be the strongest. Love and like is their weakness.
For example uke hates to be the leader but he has to. While the seme has to be strong so he can survive. Both growing up learning they need to be afraid off.
But that doesn't mean they don't have desire. But surrounding never teach them how to handle it.
The so call bdsm here aren't the real one. Lots of slavery in disguise. For both doms and subs.
