if i remember corretly, he had these voices in his head to kind of guide him because he wasn't a complete divine beast? like his conscience but a bunch of them for each purpose, like curiosity and reason etc etc and when that tragedy happened, they were separated because he would be reborn as a full divine beast!! banahm gave them physical form cause... idk. and took them to rix.
