I do think that people are highly threatened by his presence cause he made something that wasn't achievable between Ian and TJ for the past 19 years. TJ is a perfect example of a character that possessed the infamous "bad boy" characteristics and appearance. This type of characters always look more superior than any regular characters. In this sense he looks superior than Jo. He's hot, exude sex appeal, notorious and have an aggressive demeanour which is why he stands out more but Jo is actually more handsome.

Exactly. So many comments I’ve seen on TikTok saying Ian is better cause of their chemistry and how long they’ve been together…but they rarely mention TJ’s good aspects. It’s just about the length of their relationship and seems to ignore how Ian has trauma and feels guilty so he’s holding/is attached to TJ who also shares that trauma/guilt with him.

yeah they all need to escape each other tbh. like maybe when ian gets therapy he can be with joe or after a lot of time has passed because i feel like ian is not mentally okay right now. and ian's carrying so much burden and trauma with him that he doesn't need a relationship right now and probably can't love joe the way he wants to be loved.

TJ is the most loved character despite his WRONGDOING while Jo is actually the most hated character FOR NO REASON in the history of love triangle. Why? cause the build-up for TJ what made him stand out more than Jo. People would not have dragged or hate Jo if he wasn't TJ's rival. Let's face it nice people are boring cause there's no excitement that's why most readers find him as the least interesting character compared to TJ but it's too soon to judge anything.
