the girls are getting unbelievably annoying... half of this series is him, on his knees, getting scolded for something he had no control over or would have had horrific results if he'd not acted... but it went against their common sense so they scold him for it... and he just takes it... like a submissive child that's had a life of abuse....

a big part of it might be the fact that despite having a harem of wives, he's actually chased after ZERO of them. Every. Single. One. forced themselves into a marriage contract with him and he's such a sub that he just bent over and took it. Yet they all love to get ultra jealous and start tearing into him if he so much as has a normal conversation with another girl. Especially that princess... she needs to see a therapist...
A pushover MC is not enjoyable. I really cant see the romantic appeal of a guy being pushed around by potential mates. Especially one blessed by the dignity of gods.
