the empress left the emperor because he doesn't want the baby. Before fore she leaves, she kinda put a spell on everyone in the castle so nobody remembers her. But even then, emperor keeps searching for her. Fast forward, she gives birth to a daughter? And she's now seriously ill bcoz of the magic she used to make everyone forgets. I remember the doctor saying she doesn't have that much long to live. But they meet again while the emperor is out on patrol.
