Thats what they think and because they surmised that mom is not changing the present for lily but to stop the misfortune befalling her thay and she never held accountability for her past actions. But i think theyre just misunderstanding it, cos for me i love how their connection is gradually resolved like how irl its awkward to heal broken relationships. Its not like in fiction that it can be resolved in one chapter with people perfectly able to convey their feelings. The last words in the recent chapter conveyed it well. Also because i think she did apologise in a round about way altho she didn’t explicitly say im sorry, that one part was sad to think. Like she did acknowledge how horrible she is in her past actions but internally and never able to tell lily about it. But i like how instead shes trying to change thru her actions. shes slowly changing and learning to be a good mom. Which is how they are supposed to be, theyre not perfect, children are not perfect too (but lily is)
Readers who hate the mom are so funny like why u keep on reading this when you don't even understand the story.
