Yeah I don't get why some readers here like to blame Maxi here when Riftan sucked at communication. And I don't understand the endless patience they have for Riftan. Just because he has abs? Are they really that shallow?
Because the fact that he keeps assuming that she had a lavish lifestyle without trying to get to know her already put my nerves. He kept talking over her. He treats her as a decoration, like a dream girl rather than as a human partner he can stand equal to. Like a pretty princess he can just put inside his castle and protect. But he never once question why she is afraid of him at first. Why is she stubborn on proving herself? He never asks these questions and instead compared her to an already experienced healer - Princess Agnes. I get that he's trying to protect her but that is simply not enough reason. Maxi already knows he cares, he just need to show her that he actually believes she can be but not at this time, just at the right time.
I disagree with u saying there's no development, we're seeing maxi's character changing and improving and her relationship with riftan being challenged as a result, also we're literally entering a new arc rn packed with shit ton of stuff so get ur popcorn and get ready
I agree! He achived his dream of marrying her, but doesnt know even the basic things about her. They are eather arguing or banging. He knows thatshe gets scared easely yet he still shouts at her. Tho, yes she has quite some devdlopment in that area but still...
I see what you mean, but at what cost. Chapter 94, and we are jusg engering the arc. Especially when there are major plot holes if you compare the story to the novel. Ofc not everyone read it, but if the artist followed it, the fact why Maxi wanted to join so bad would have made sense.
Listen. I know she is barely a mage, all she can do is heal. But i truly dont like Riftan and the way he talks to her. Instead of listening and communicating he throws tantrums and runs away, he barely has any redeaming qualities as a ML apart fro m his ripped body.
Maxi isnt smart, i blame it on her upbringing, but he should havd explainedto her what it takes to go to war instead of screaming at her.
At this point I am unsure where this is going. Chapters repeat themselfs, thereis barely any development at chapter 93 no less! Where tf are the publishers looking? The artist is ruining a ready story cuz of the pace.
