The reason the previous person said that you were rude was because you are denying a culture and language. Al most all of Asian cultures call strangers aunt or uncle, they call people they know their brothers or sisters. There is no “excuse me”. The reason I laughed was because I genuinely thought you were joking, I didn’t know you actually were not knowledgeable in this area.
