If the uncle was gonna die anyways, and specifically in that moment, why would they have blamed her if the shackles didn't work? He was gonna die regardless... literally was coughing up mountains of blood....

Because it was her idea to put the shackles on him. They didn’t really know or understand how the magic shackles work and if the idea fails, an easy assumption is that the shackles could’ve hasten his death. Then they’d have a someone to blame their own shortfall. Guilty ppl blame others that’s just how human nature is.

It wouldn't have hastened his death tho. He was literally finna die in that moment

Idk what to say to you. Ppl are gonna blame when they gonna blame. He was gonna die then and there for sure but since pereshati is an outsider/outlier, not their flesh and blood she was a nice scapegoat for blame when they, an incestuous(their plan of keeping the curse in) generational family could not know after years and years of research, how to cure their damn family from the curse. Now suddenly a random bitch KNOWS how to at least stop the uncle from dying?

They didn’t know the plan was gonna work. So in theory, uncle could’ve lived 10mins longer but putting that shackles could just kill him immediately.
