Ugh

Ngl that ending was crap for me lmao. I get the whole everybody’s happy ending in their own worlds but I honestly see it as cruel at least to the ML. The bullshit saying “they met and made memories and left with those memories made.” I would rather they not have any if they would just separate anyways. I felt like the whole development of the relationship went down the drain because what the heck was the point if they weren’t even planned to end up together?? The FL gets a replacement version of him but he has to live the rest of his life never seeing her again. I guess the author wants the realistic route with the whole “they have family and friends in their own worlds they can’t leave behind.” But ngl, I would only understand that if it was a reoccurring and important thing added to the story. Majority of those family and friends were not essential to the story and most of the story was without them. It doesn’t make me connected to their families or worlds.

The crap the author spouted saying they think the ML would be okay alone in his world without the FL. Screams to me that he was an afterthought and left scraps. Whereas literally everyone else got their perfect happy ending with their loved ones. He doesn’t even get actual screen time in the last chapter. Romance is certainly not this authors strong point. Despite this, the author knew TWO alt endings that could’ve been better. ML felt like it was just a stepping stone to make the FL happy for a good amount of time and then throw away.

Idk man seemed pretty realistic to me. Maybe ML moved on with someone else. After all he's only in high school and having to break up with your girlfriend isn't the end of the world.

This isn’t the real world though. Everything is fiction. If I wanted a realistic thing I would’ve gone outside lmfao. That’s the point of fictional stories. The FL is young as well but got a clone of him for her happy ending. The author even made alternate endings knowing they were better for him.

I don't mind fictional stories being realistic. In fact it's nice to see them once in a while between all the fairy tale happy endings. To each their own I guess.

Not to mention how there isn't really any satisfactory way for the ML and FL to end up together. The FL obviously won't give up her own family for the boy she met a few months ago, neither would ML leave his world and everything behind for the FL. If the author pulled any of those endings that would have been far more unsatisfactory than the ending we have now . I feel like most of the time authors put so much focus on the romance that their life outside the romance gets forgotten.
