Because the empress would've given birth to her and obviously make her live in the palace with her that instant, it makes sense if it were the other way around with the empress being an emperor instead impregnating concubines making easier to hide a child but in this scene, it's not that
IDK, but I very much doubt that they would make them impregnate the concubines since I think she would be the one to carry the child. Maybe the empressed had a child, but someone faked the death of her newborn child idk
Okay so..I am still reading this, but like...she fl looks like the empress she looks exactly like her (even though they don't have the same eye colors), I am hoping she's her kids.
