Ok but her husband did leave for a long time and it did cause her to be constantly harassed by loan sharks then he came back and pretended like nothing happened.
I'm saying I don't believe she was abused by her husband.

Also to add onto that he was so fucking careless with their money. Like if my partner used money that we both rely on with our LIVES for ‘one of his boys’ I’d be beyond pissed. Like he seems so intransparent with „my friend this, my friend that“.
But I do still think she is not a completely good person (aka. Morally grey).
I do agree that she should become more independent tho. Like her mother kinda wanted and get her own shit and security together or I feel she’ll become more bitter than she currently is. Cause at some point she is an adult and probably intelligent enough to know the risks. Like yeah beginning but that lending action would make me snap out and after the loan sharks to MOVE BACK IN?

Who knows ....anyway it's like this,some people have a good heart and sometimes it gets them into trouble because they try to help everyone one and maybe that's the type of person the husband is and Jinjoo just let him do whatever thinking or believing he knows what he's doing, Jinjoo must have grown up so sheltered that she was used to people making choices and decisions for her and she just went along with it at home and as a wife.
I think that Jinjoo regrets her life choices and as she looks skinny and terrible at only 40yrs old tells me that she might be going through a lot of mental turmoil,she threw her college life away and became a housewife and she knew she had a great future ahead of her but because of how her life at home was maybe she even took it for granted that inspite of the fact that her home wasn't a loving environment she was well provided for and might have had a better life if she didn't leave home with dude.
As for her and Doyeon....maybe she also sees the life she could have had through Doyeon and can be part of the reason why she's drawn to her and her youth....I don't think Jinjoo is a bad woman she's just living in regret and maybe even hates herself a little...
Totes agree with your take there. I think it’s kind of a mix of what everyone in the comments are saying cause she really is not a one dimensional character at all. Generally all characters are so well written with their own sense of what’s right.
I feel like Jinjoo wasn't actually abused my the husband but actually treated well,I bet dude did all he could to give Jinjoo a good life and he's still trying to even now but it's like Jinjoo left home because of the fact that her parents may have not shown her or each other love and she couldn't deal with that anymore and so the first guy who showed her love & affection she ran with it and left her home...but getting along well with a person and your actual sexuality are separate things and who knows maybe Jinjoo and her husband didn't have sex regularly in the first place is the reason why she couldn't get wet as she aged and not because of menopause because she does have a high sex drive and get really wet when she has sex with Doyeon.
Jinjoo just has to figure out what and who she wants and accept the fact that she didn't know who she really was when she left with dude and accept that even though dude tried his best the life she spent with him wasn't the right fit for her and get a divorce so she can have some clarity on who Jinjoo is away from him,so she can really see if she still desires Doyeon as a single woman or if what she's doing with Doyeon is just a fling or a passing stage in her life..
