Yeah i agree...but it's possible that at the beginning he did it for her and experienced new things which cause him to forget his real goal

These type of stories are good in hind sight,but it irks me so much that a character will come out an say they did something for someone because they like them but yet all along theyd been with other people...thats not right to me....
