They mentioned earlier that he left the family and started a new life with a new family (new spouse and probably chikdren). Subaru already didnt have a good relationship with either parent, but only her mom kind of put effort in so Subaru reluctantly interacted with her. The father on the other hand didnt put as much effort and already had a family elsewhere.
Can I ask what the hell happened to the dad???? The parents only divorced so why are they acting like he doesn't exist?? What the hell did he do that made everyone act like he just isn't worth tlaking about?
