This is a Major depressive series, so for those who are not into the doom and gloom, feel free to skip it. In 3 vols, the MC has not caught a break unlike Arifu or Shieldbro, so read this at your own risk.

You know,at first I was really confused as to who he was cause I thought that name was really familiar but just can really pinpoint it and I basically panicked when i googled and there was none related at all but turns out i already read the novel before and bookmarked it thats why it was so damn familiar, just at the tip of my tongue. hahahahaha guess this is the the capacity of a normie brain huh? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

You want revenge? Horror? Blood? Madness? Depression? They are all different, you know.

For manga, the rec is different from the WN/LN recs, so you have to take your pick.

For manga, there is always Berserk. It ticks all of the above check lists.

Ubel Blatte isnt bad, but it has a bit too much editor influence. However UB does fill all of the requirements.

Of course, if you dont mind series from earlier eras, almost all of the Devilman series are like this. Skull Man is the same.

Y + M is another one. Blade of the Immortal is also an revenge driven tale. The Legendary revenge series is probably Lady Snowblood. A girl becoming an assassin to take revenge on the 4 people who killed her father, raped her mother, etc. Thats all the ones off the top of my head.

    For WN/LN -

For a revenge that has horror, blood and madness, there is - The Girl who ate death/Grim Reaper. A farm girl driven to her absolute limit by war, famine, and general human malice decides take revenge on people that took the last of her food by becoming the most blood thirsty military leader of the civil war in her kingdom. Nick named - Bringer of death, Grim Reaper, Shinigami, she kills her way through war, hope, famine, revolution, peace, and etc.

Summoned Slaughterer - no revenge, but about a Homicidal Maniac getting summoned to another world. There are lots of killing but it isnt that gory. The MC prefers killing over sex. There are very few safe characters. 2 female characters that would stick around for a long time in other series got killed without much fuss.

Tsuyokute New Saga - novel entered translator drama hell, so go for the manga. He is trying to get revenge on the demon king who killed his parents, childhood friend, the entire home village, and eventually his bride to be. He got an Try again, so he also decides to take revenge against people that will create major havoc in the future.

Goblin Slayer - Goblins kills his entire home village, rapes/tortures his older sister until her death in front of him. He disappears for 5 years, then becomes an adventurer in a border town that kills Goblins and NOTHING else. The world setting is based on AD&D, so there are no cheats here. There is a manga adaption.

Because Janitor san is not a Hero - The translator eventually abandoned the series due to difficulty and time constraints, but he/she said that he will keep plugging away at it. The whole class of a high school is summoned due to a irresponsible princess experimenting with magic of summoning, and the school Janitor is caught up in it. He is betrayed by a character similar to combination of Kouki in Arifureta and Trashmoki in Tsuki ga Michibiku. He had his cheat stolen from him and abandoned on the mountains to die. Its way more rage inducing than Arifureta or Tate yuusha can ever be.

Last one off the top of my head that I just thought of when I wrote about Janitor san - Boku wa isekai de Fuyo mahou to Shoukan Mahou or something like that. Revenge, rape, killing, mutilation, and plenty of doom and gloom to go around. The Entire school is summoned to another world, including the buildings. Orcs invades. Orcs and high school girls, do I need to paint a bleaker picture?

IN the end, Shieldbro and Arifureta is relatively tame in terms of revenge, trauma, blood and madness. The LN (and the manga adaption thereof) is farther toned down in terms of gore/depression/revenge in order to lower the selling age of its books. Enjoy your reads.

Thank you very much, there are actually a few I didnt know about.
Well, I do know they are different, but as I am picky and don't like to trouble people by asking it in a specific way, I usually generalize when asking it. Only saying proper terms either on a more private conversation or when I am searching some by myself.
Thank you for going out of your way to write down such a good list.
