cute but a little messed up

I mean it's a cute manga don't get me wrong but I feel like it simplified suicide and depression to a concerning degree. Like what do you mean yuusei was willing to just kill himself over a misunderstanding??? It's a huge power imbalance in their relationship.
Also the rules about the balloons keep contradicting each other and it was just so random. I don't know if I would rec this manga, honestly.

tbf, suicide is usually impulsive, right? and for neurodivergent people especially (and I think the seme is ND-coded), suicidal ideation isn't TOO an uncommon response to feelings of shame/rejection

You're right, I totally get what you're saying. I do wish they expanded upon it more though because they never brought it up again. I still think there's a huge power imbalance in their relationship that isn't healthy regardless of whether that scene happened or not.

Agreed, just felt out of place and we were meant to somehow take it lightly?? I also agree about the power imbalance.

I also thought about the balloon rules, if he was his fated partner wasn't he supposed to not see his balloon from the start? Why did it suddenly disappear?
