For me, it was lacking in emotional depth. It could have been a story that made me cry for hours on end but I didn't feel anything when I finished it. I understand the concept of 'best left unwritten" but the very reason we read the story is to learn about the characters , their STORY and their feelings. They are not real people who will live on, whose story is their own and we don't have to know the details. It's literally a fictional story written for US, the readers. So with all due respect, I find it kind of dumb and annoying to leave so many things out.
