Imo yeah Zeno lived for a long time, watching the dragons get shackled to a life of suffering waiting for a cause that should be considered as great, waiting in imprisonment as a secret from the rest of civilization etc. the reincarnation process is quite painful to see and watch over consistently.
If Yona becomes King and the dragons reach their peak, they will probably still reincarnate after/during Yona's time and wait for the next red king who may or may not even return too.
That’s why I feel like, his choice is valid. It’s so sad

From my understanding, Zeno is just trying to stop the reincarnation process. Which, to be honest, is fair. That has to suck forming bonds and losing them for thousands of years over and over again because you’re immortal. For people saying he’s selfish or making decisions for the others…the others are essentially asking him to suck it up and live for their sake which is equally wrong (￣∇￣") since they’re not the ones who are immortal, ya know?
