Righttt, I was wondering the same Bc he doesn't need Dan it seems. Dan is just suffering for no reason at all just that he caught feelings and stuff
It specifically said that they haven’t done it since Dan admitted he had feelings for Jk. This is the first match since that happened so it’s the first time for no “jinx” scene. I’m curious whether Jk will have gotten someone else (I’ll kill him), will lose and blame it on Dan for them not doing it (I’ll kill him), or if he will make an excuse about why they didn’t do it if he wins without needing it.
If he wins I guess this will be JKs reality check. Jinx after all is just a superstitious belief. I just think this might be where the author is going to insert the character devs. It might turned out he don't need his jinxes after all. And Dan might get fired. A tragedy with his grandma might happened too. But it's just my guess.

What happened to his jinx like why isn’t that a part of the story anymore is this? Is he just like not doing it with Dan anymore? I’m so confused and I don’t care if he loses or wins like his whole body is broken asf he’s done after this and honestly he probably will lose because his foot is messed up and his shoulder is done. It just doesn’t seem like this is gonna work out. I feel like the author lost the plot. She doesn’t know what she’s doing anymore. She’s just getting these chapters out with no purpose.
