The difference is that with everything else it was portrayed as a bad thing, but in the incest case it is not,its being shown as alright
Ok rape, pedophilia, abuse and murder were talked about to raise awareness that it is not a good thing they weren’t encouraging ppl to do this they were talking about these things for what happened to them. But the incest is just weird they are showing it to us like it’s okay. Maybe if they were step siblings or wasn’t raised with each other ok but this is just disgusting them even being twin siblings too
I don't think it's shown as a good thing though? Hence why it was clearly portrayed that aqua and the others were uncomfortable with it. Because it gave them the ick. It's clear by everyone's reaction in the manga that it was wrong and uncomfortable. Realistically speaking, all of their reactions in the manga portray real-life reactions of people when it comes to incest; discomfort, disgust, intrigue, apathy and excitement .
You are entitled to your discomfort, others are entitled to their reactions as well. It only means the writers achieved what they wanted to achieve by writing that part of the story. But if the discomfort supercedes your intrigue for the story, might as well just stop reading since this topic will likely play a pivotal role in the plot later on.
This isn't true. All the characters are disgusted with it minus Ruby. You can see their discomfort with it. Ruby even has to try hard to convince Aqua to see her as Serina and not as their sibling. Aqua said it himself that he didn't like the idea of kissing her in the first place.

This manga has always been about societal taboos and horrors so it's a given that there will be topics that people will find uncomfortable. That's the intention. This was not sudden, it has always been hinted at even in the beginning, what with ruby's brocon behaviour. It's uncomfortable, yes, but we read this not for comfort, yes?
