I agree with all points! It's not like he killed yeonjo's family because he's a psycho and he wanted to. He had a job to do, if he didn't do it surely someone else would've done it anyway, but I'm also pretty sure you also can't really refuse an order like that (though I digress)
I also like him as the seme, I've see so much worse and he actually looks like a decent human being. He's also so nice to yeonjo when, like you said, he could easily use his power to kill him or torture him or whatever. He's patient and caring and I just get good vibes when I see him
Exactly, I think a lot of people forget the fact that back in the days you literally weren’t allowed to disobey the emperor’s orders or else you’d be killed so it’s not like the seme could’ve been like “erm no thanks lmao”. And the seme is going soft on him too. Like we can see he's starting to fall in love and actually completely believing the uke while uke has actually gone behind his back and concocted that plan with the villainous person. When seme's main advisor told him that yes we can't doubt the uke coz there's no proof but that means we can't believe him either and yet the same has chosen to put his faith in the uke. Seme actually believes that uke went to visit hai brother's grave but uke did not and I'm gonna die if the uke ends up hurting our seme
Am i the only one who doesn't hate the seme? I mean yes he killed uke's family but first of all, those are govt orders that he had to follow. Literally king ordered him to do that. And he didn't kill off the kids and others he deemed innocent (most others would have absolutely annihilated everyone in the family).
Secondly he has been extremely extremely extremely forgiving to yeonjo. If yk, back in these times, lowly servants and prostitutes were legit killed off for absolutely nothing, yet yeonjo has been very disrespectful and has gotten out unscathed. He hasn't hurt yeonjo physically when he could have legit killed him off. Yeonjo bit him, slapped him, threw things at him etc etc.
Thirdly what if , whaaaaat if yeonjo's father really was a traitor? Then what? Ofcourse we sympathise with yeonjo but it might very well be that his father really was wrong and got caught and then was killed off as it should be. No country allows traitors to live.
Fourthly, how many people would allow son of a supposed traitor inside the household let alone have a lavish lifestyle,the kind yeonjo has rn. And on top of that how many of us are willing to give so many chances to someone who we suspect might literally kill us in sleep?
I don't hate the seme. If anything he is one of the kinder ones in BLs. Given the power he holds and his personality,and his status, he is biased towards yeonjo and he does treat him well for all that has happened.
I like him and his personality quite a lot.
