it's a good story and the rape isn't as front and center as you may think. Like there is not a lot and the characters as of now aren't even together(and never were) It's a real push and shuving thing with them.
Ilay, the crazy love interest, is smart and he's very interesting in the way he presents himself and think(you'll like and you'll hate him.
Tay, the MC, is sweet and nice enough. hes reserved enough but he also puts himself in trouble sometimes.
Both him an ilay are a little bit crazy and fucked, way more ilay than him though. it makes them fit each other a lot and really makes their story so interesting and good. The slow burn is forever burning.
