I can understand their pov though. If they get more involved, more ant species, or worse, brain eating fungus, will invade their world. Plus, they are omnipotent enough to make another world, why not do just that.

Yup, the gods totally suck. "Oh we failed on our little project. Welp, we'll just abandon it and move on to the next project!" Human lives really are just like ants to them. "Oh my ant colony was invaded by another ant species and is dying? Eh, I'll throw it away and try again."
