Oh my God you just wrote down my thoughts! I know that some people actually thought this manga is fucked up, but I felt like it’s so well written, and all the emotions came across that I can understand his obsession because of how much he has suffered. My heart aches with him on every page, the pain and guilt when MC died to save him, the realization when he found out how weak the dragon that killed his beloved master is, to finding hope that she’s alive, only to be crushed by the fact that he might never see her come back to life in his lifetime, and yet he still dedicated his all for her, I cannot ╥﹏╥ I want to give this manga a 20/10 if I can!
Same! I really wasn't expecting to be so invested with my feelings in this, but yoooo! Alistair made me have a hard time choking back my tears. It feels like the story is just now ready to begin after ch17. I'm here for it. Let's go!

Completely agree!! The man went through it. It's like he lost her twice. The wanting to give it all up, the almost falling apart, the insane longing, the knowing you are losing your mind, but getting past it all and staying human and staying same because people rely on him and he wants to be what she deserves.. This is an amazing story. DICK HER DOWN AND DROWN I LOVE!!!.................................... We all know she's never getting away (⊙…⊙ )

This is the type of unhinge I like lol. The things that I typically side eye in stories such as a large age gap, raising/acting as the guardian for the other, and dubious consent are so good when it makes perfect sense for the story to have these elements. The ml definitely isn't a kind man, the only thing holding him back from full on becoming a monster is his obsession/love with mc, so of course the way he acts reflects it. He's actually pretty tame too... the licking and stuff honestly wasn't such a surprise for me lmao
(Reading stories with the 'Dead dove do not eat' tag on AO3 gave me a bit of armor when it comes to yanderes (￣∇￣")
