The kids don't change a single bit they act basically the exact same throughout the whole story (generic kids that are perfect angels who love her unconditionally and never misbehave on purpose and never grow or change because they're already comically perfect) which makes them just look more like accessories to the FL than meaningful people
This started out well but then became so disappointing... The caracters don't grow up, the girl does nothing but get protected... They make it seem like time went by, so that all these things could happen but those kids don't grow up even a bit, they never try to help with magic and she doesn't even try to get them a magic tutor.... Or even try to get herself a magic tutor either.... The ending was so abrupt and weird too.....
