i think so too. That part is the only redundant after Tay left. Even the side story of Ilay it was also mentioned. Something along the lines "as long as he doesn't hate Ilay" or something but then his memory of Tay saying that he despise Ilay is what broke him.

I dont know if i am right , but why is ilay is asking about the "regret" part ? Is it related to the part where tay told him i think i liked you more than i thought so he wants tay to address that part or nah
