I agree with this thread! On top of that when shavone peeked at the peephole. It seemed like it was llwelyns dead eyes or something? Like a glimpse of reality idk omfg I was so fucking creeped out when a zoomed in of his eyes suddenly appeared. I almost dropped my heart. I still would love to believe that this isn't a lucid dream but I just don't know what to believe it until I have evidence it isn't... Have u read the novel?

Idk if it was just me but when I started reading the last ch, I really thought at first that Shavonne was having like a last dying dream or smth with how happy it seemed. Maybe I’m missing novel context or maybe the reading comprehension devil got me but I’m just wondering how Lewellyn got Shavonne medical help before he bled to death. I would imagine that the penitentiary would be far away from towns (tho I am def not complaining with Shavonne surviving lol). And I was a little confused with how the Farrell guy didn’t die initially from all those gun shots too, but I mean ig he still ended up dying lol. I really do love Shavonne’s and Lewellyn’s love for each other. Them becoming each other’s whole world is everythinggg. However, I just felt a little empty after reading the ending ╥﹏╥ I wish we could’ve seen more of the two and just them having a happy slice of life romance with no worries. Nonetheless, I think this was a very beautiful story.
