If you put it that way then the actual manipulation has started at chapter 3 when lady campbell put on a crest on eve and made her to be a sex slave for her ... and even that king lady and the servant and now the pink hair girl and emi... This story is all about manipulation... same as the other work of the author
It seems like this author has a kink about manipulation
I don't agree with the rape part at all. I think they could've told it differently but anyway... Emi was overdosing on those suppressant meds for awhile. Even Sara was telling her to take better care of herself. I'm not sure what negative side effects there would be with such a drug but I'm guessing its not good. Also, if she wasn't abusing the mess it sounded like she would have had to go through heat anyway and do it with someone. We all know that someone was never gonna be Sara. So it kinda seemed like that person was always gonna be the doctor. Basically she was forcing Emi to deal with her drug overuse problem and sadly that included rape. Not that this makes it any better but Emi appears to have consented at some point during that interaction and that's why she didn't wake up hating the doctor. If you read any story that has heat cycles the characters going through heat always has someone to help them with it even if it's not like their official lover/partner. Anyway I wish they hadn't made that part into rape
Also it makes it worst knowing that she's been trying to seduce Emi for awhile. So even though I think it was also to help her... Basically the doctors thoughts and words makes it seem entirely sexual and that she couldn't take no for an answer and went to extremes to get what she wanted. Really wish they never wrote in this way because it just sounds and IS so bad no matter what the pros are... ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
Yeah, I too think that was obvious/heavily hinted at. And it would've been a let down/waste to set that up so perfectly and not use it.
But I'm expecting the doctor to redeem herself at some point (hopefully soon). I think her even choosing to be the one to fight Emi was just to protect her. Those other guys would've probably tried to kill her. However, I think Carola will probably only hurt/damage Emi just enough to make it look convincing that she's the enemy but where Emi can still be patched up again like normal (hopefully).

It seems to me the doc is doing a lot of manipulating here and in the last two chapters. She forced Emi into heat and used her when she couldn't resist, using their old relationship as a crutch. The fact that she was raped herself became the twisted reason for why it was okay to use medicine to rape Emi. And now, she's using passive-aggressive tactics to force Emi to behave like a lover. This can't end well, and I don't think the doctor deserves Emi. When the heat passes and Emi can control herself again, it's going to go very badly.
