I would say yes but we've seen potatoes inner monolouge and I just don't see how they could make him the spy after all the obvious displayed feelings he has towards Jaekyung and Dan, he's probably gonna be a side couple with heesung (if this story intends to be like their other work)
I don’t doubt that potato will get with Heesung at some point. I’m just saying this might be the drama they’ll have to clear up in their future relationship.
So I’ve been seeing lots of theories on who the spy is, and all I’ve got to say is that… it might actually be potato.
NOW HEAR ME OUT. The reason I say this is because Potato already has had foreshadowing of being a “spy”. For example, in chapter 25 where Potato is suspicious of the “private sessions” between Jaekyung and Dan. He starts to imagine Dan kissing Jaekyung before being accused of “spying on them” by Dan.
Not to mention chapter 39, where Dan is struggling to keep his wits due to the aphrodisiac and yet again potato who got up to go to the bathroom at the most inconvenient time. Of course, this instance in particular could just be a coincidence— but knowing mingwa… it’s probably more subtle foreshadowing.
The main point is the instance in Chapter 25, though. Since Potato unknowingly read their situation down to a T almost instantly.
And how is this relevant? Well, allow me to introduce HEESUNG. Heesung CHOI, might I remind. Y’all remember all those chapters potato spent completely off-screen? Right after having met Heesung, might I add..?
Yeah. My theory is that because Heesung got drunk that night, he might’ve said some things he shouldn’t have *cough* chapter 34 *cough cough* and ended up accidentally (or even purposely.. assuming Heesung CHOI is actually related to Jaekyung’s sabotage..) exposing Jaekyung’s ordeal with Dan and therefore confirming all the suspicions that Potato had about their relationship.
This is important because in the case that Heesung ACTUALLY is the mastermind behind Jumin’s team and his manager, then potato is actually the perfect spy for them.
It would explain his indifference towards clearing up the misunderstanding between Jaekyung and Dan. And it would also explain why he seems to be particularly focused on what Dan does (cause why did potato have to check what Dan was doing with Jaekyung’s equipment…?)
Not to mention Heesung could’ve told Potato that he only intends to get Dan out of the current situation he’s in, with no true intentions to harm Jaekyung.
Anyway, this is all just a theory. Especially since the weird “spy” comment in chapter 25 just seemed so… random… yk? After all Mingwa could’ve said many other words to describe Potato’s noseyness like perverted or literally ANY other word. But, she chose SPY…
