So I heard a spoiler that in the future, the saintess loses both her arms and becomes used as a living battery(cause in their world, disabled guides were used as living batteries, and were of the lowest rank) which is a bit harsh, but still deserved. What grosses me out is that all those actually good people who got disabled and were used as living batteries. Like, hello author? What the actual fuck.

Also, by living batteries, they probably meant fucktoys.

Honestly, I hope they just kill her off, because that ending is super f*cked on so many levels. Not only is it dehumanizing disabled people and aligning being disabled as some sort of punishment (also the long history of media placing disabled figures as villains). But it's also normalizing and justifying rape and using it as a tool for 'justice,' it's the same messed up mentality as people who claim evil doers will serve justice in prison by getting raped or 'turned out.' Also statistically speaking, people with disabilities are approx x7 more likely to get sexually assaulted than those without disabilities, so honestly the whole thing is super distasteful.

holy shit. honestly i won't put it past the government that saw it fit to trap someone from another dimension, but damn, future korea didn't receive any sort of comeuppance for that kind of bs!?

it's just 'yay ML and FL are happy in medieval monarchy, meanwhile here's a glimpse of the insane future where people get fucked in this ableist dystopian society The End :)'

Actually changed my mind. Being a bitch doesn’t make you deserve to have your arms cut off. Author’s just really fucked up in the head

idk, fake Saintess wasn't just being a petty bitch, she did a lot of gruesome-punishment worthy crimes.

& it wasn't just that she'd rather mentally cripple all the espers so she can feel special, or the fact that she abducted some guy and tried to marriage trap him. it's also that she's a genocidal maniac who's alright with condemning an entire world to hell for her own ego.

if i remember correctly she realized halfway through that her dimension traveling was the cause of monster waves appearing in the ML's dimension. and she didn't care, she still wanted to raise her level after refusing to help espers (the one thing that can effectively fight against monster waves) find suitable guides.

oh, yup. it's already been said that fake saintess somehow automatically levels up as a guide whenever she travels in between dimensions, right? it's also revealed later on that she is also the cause of monster waves appearing in ML's dimension. the price/penalty for her dimension traveling is that something of equal value must be transferred along with her whenever she travels dimensions. she gets an alert for this on her phone, a literal warning. so the higher her level gets, the worse the monster waves that come along with her.

when it gets discovered that FL is a super compatible guide and that she's an SS class or something, fake saintess is enraged. the absolute bitch proceeds to dimension travel REPEATEDLY just so she can raise her level and be higher than FL despite knowing she's doomed everyone in the Empire.

it's also the reason why she ends up disabled in the first place.

after much difficulty, once FL, ML, and the others kill the monster and close all the other portals, they confront the fake saintess because hers is the only portal left. her phone already broke so it's the last one it made. they beg and threaten her not to do it. the absolute psycho STILL attempts to dimension travel after seeing all the devastation it brought on the land! and so FL punishes fake saintess the moment she attempts to cross, FL pulls her arms through the opposite side so it will get cut off when the portal closes.

Still, getting your arms cut off, and without a proper procedure, is so disgusting. I wish the author just killed her instead.

imo the FL's anger and how she wants fake saintess to suffer instead of a quick death is pretty understandable. not saying it isn't gross and the govt. isn't absolutely fucked up

but for FL it's very personal.
    (1) indirectly caused her death in the 1st life, (2) tortured & enabled the experimentation of the guy she loves, (3) endangered her whole family that she values the most in her current life (they're a border family, so when the monster waves came, her family was first in the Empire to suffer most & nearly die)

and at the end, it wouldn't be narratively satisfying at all, because beaten and shown how she's wrong multiple time, the fake saintess showed no regret or fear for her actions. she would've died believing she was right and justified for doing what she did to everyone.

That makes more sense. I just wish the author made it so that the saint was the only person suffering, instead of all those other people too.
