First of all, we are a little over 1/3 of the way through this story. This is a very long journey of how both of the two main characters grow throughout the series.
Will wooyeon still have horrible moments throughout the series? Absolutely. Prepare yourself for the worst. But his redemption is a very long process because he doesn't feel emotions like normal people to begin with. And he does making lasting changes in the end and does what is best for Inseob.
Will Inseob still be a pushover and not speak up about what he is thinking and cause misunderstandings? Again, yes. But he will also grow and learn to stand up for himself more. He will put himself before Wooyeon and Jenni and everyone else at one point.
Does Kate (the plant) get a happy ending? Yes. She will be cared for in the end.
I do urge people to read the full novel if possible. The artist has conveyed many things extremely well, but the reader still misses out on a lot of the subtle things that happen in the novel. Also the entire story really needs to be taken in as a whole instead of dissecting one small part of the story and calling it trash. Especially when it's been translated very poorly and stupid comments are added to make the readers try to hate certain characters more. It is clear the translator doesn't actually understand what is happening in the story and does not need to make these side comments at all.
