Life experience needed to relate/understand this story.

I wonder if most of the commenters have experienced much in life and/or been exposed to many others? This story feels like textbook psychology. Everything steming from a need to be loved and needed, and a fear of being alone. Well written plot.
Some close family's are very affectionate and not with sexual intentions. The codependent extreme affection of Shinobu (uke) to his older brother is kinda textbook norm possible outcome due to the circumstances framed by the author in how he was raised.
Close cousins (they did grow up like cousins/brothers) are pretty commonly first crushes for kids growing up like that, and the strong codependent affection examples in early childhood, with a reduced parental daily influence, probably led to his obsession turning to love for the Uke.
Two gaps though: 1. We didn't get a clear feelings change from Uke just deeply loving his family members and enjoying the physical pleasure to fully accepting and returning nephews love. 2. Explanation from older bros POV after making out with Uke to... make a point? Felt like there was more there.

i agree because even tho i never thought or acted like this towards my family who i'm very close with, i can still understand the author's intentions and even sympathize with the characters. the author tried to explain everything that was happening from a psychological pov and wrote the plot in a way that one might even accept it.
however i'm glad you menitoned the gaps because fr, the 1. is still unclear which makes me the most uncomfortable and 2. just makes me sad because damn, he really might've given up his perfect life for the sake of his son.
