I mean, I think its not because he really doesnt want to get married, but like, didnt entertain the idea of it because practically nobody wants him. So its like his consolation? Like, "nobody want to marry me? Fine, I dont even wanna get married anyway"
No hate to the plot but it definitely felt a bit rushed, from the mc not wanting to get married to switching his mind in seconds just to have sex with the beastmen
