Save your time, not worth a read unless you're really bored

The premise is pretty interesting, but that's about it.

The MC is mad annoying first of all, I could not root for him at all. His emotions, motivations, and actions don't make sense in a cohesive way and there is 0 character development at all, throighout the entire story. Woohyuk was alright, but his character felt so flat and unbelievable to me, like he exists only as an accessory to MC and not as his own character. The love triangle was annoying, and just kept going back and forth without meaningful progression. The humor was inserted in weird places, and in general the series just felt very confused tone-wise. It can't decide if it's comedy or drama, but it fails to even float properly between the two. Instead, some parts feel dramatic for just to be dramatic, whole other parts feel inappropriately comedic. Not one good thing in this story besides Hyunho the cat, who should be taken away from MC because apparently he cares so much for this cat, yet is unwilling to even bring it up in the competition to save its life. Why? Because his obnoxious confidence and wishy washy motivations apparently.

I am SO happy I am not the only one that finds the behavior(s) weird and random af. It's like the author wrote their personalities as they drew the comic almost. X'D

The entire story seems very random tbh. Tho I have to say I disagree on Woohyuk, he seemed just as random and I found him VERY unappealing.
Tsundere characters are only bearable if they get all blushy and shy (not too much tho) but he honestly just got upset about pretending to be a couple, as if he had any right to.
If the author had at least put in more effort into showing the reader he had caught feelings for the MC, I wouldn't have been so annoyed, but as it was done it felt really random and off in a few ways.
But I guess his entire persona is based on tastes.

In my review I mentioned this feeling like it could work as a self-insert only, and I honestly think that's about the only way this story can work for someone; if they can relate to the MC to a T and if they like a cranky brat as a love interest.

I honestly would have preferred this story being about MC get character developement and romancing the producer, he seemed more detailed in how he was written than Woohyuk tbh. Which is also weird if I think about it....

You're actually so right about Woohyuk, and it really does seem like the only people who think this series is great are the people who are able to really relate to the MC. So glad someone else agrees with me, because I started this series because I saw the 9.0+ rating and got so confused at what I saw

    Glad I'm not alone! X'D
I think the ratings are DEFINITELY not worth going by. I have seen the most cliche, predictable shoujo plots get high ratings despite being Mary Sue stories or the most vile BL comics with shitty writing and characters. I honestly stopped bothering with looking after ratings.
Similar to how lots of positive comments don't mean a comic is good. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
