manhua just started, the core of the story is that one of the last places on earth where humans lives is heavily guarded against polymorph monsters, because of some unknown reasons it was invaded and ML fight fiercely for humans while MC looks for his spore and experience human emotions when being with ML (〜￣△￣)〜

Very good. A slow but actually not too slow build up on their romance. Nothing too dramatic about their love but its certainly there. Character development is there, especially the ML. Plot is there too. Don't expect comedy because it's not a funny work though. Good amount of wholesomeness, angst (I literally cried near the end), and drama. Most of all great ending.
This is set in a post-apocalyptic world where insect monsters can infect humans. A little mushroom in a cave gains sentience. One night his spore is taken from him. He doesn't know who did it but he has one clue, a bullet casing. Then the dying An Ze finds the cave and spends his last moments talking with the little mushroom. The little mushroom takes on An Ze's form and the name, An Zhe. He decides to go out into the world to find his spore.
It's a good novel. It has two volumes so it's not too long. The main themes of the novel are all about humanity: what it means to be human, who gets to define humanity, what it means to live. Not a lot of romance but it's very clear that An Zhe and Lu Feng love each other. They do have sweet moments together.
Can someone please sum up the rough idea of this story? I wanna start reading the novel but I wanna know if it's worth it. I can't really figure out the story even after reading this
