Still undecided…

The plot is good. The fl is a little annoying. Not sure why she acts like a child if she isn’t one mentally. Kids acting like kids is cute, but adults acting like kids is not. Just putting her into a child’s body doesn’t make her gestures and such adorable.

Tbf, the first chapter says she regained her memories of her first life and not that she transmigrated into a child's body. I don't think the story is trying to pass her off as an adult in a child's body. If she did, I think it would've been more like "I died and woke up in this seemingly familiar child's body". It seems more like she now knows what's going to happen and changed her personality based on that.

Yeah, I get it but, aren’t a person’s memories and their personality/maturity one and the same? Kids aren’t mature because they lack experiences that would have taught them to be that way. Experiences are just memories right? Then everything she experienced as an adult- maturity, how to behave as an adult, all would be part of what she inherited right? It makes no sense that she can use those memories to understand politics and economy but general maturity was omitted?

I see her remembering her past more akin to her reading a pretty complex book and being able to gain that knowledge. She knows everything that happened, but she didn't actually experience everything herself. To me, this leads to a degree of separation between her and her past life. Her still having a child-like personality is indicative of that. I feel like if she really inherited the personality of her past life, we'd see her mourn how she'd die and any family and friends she left behind and an even more drastic personality change. I think whether she's acting 'appropriately' or not depends on how much you believe the character identifies with her past life. You seem to see her current life is continuation of her past life. I believe that there is a distinction between her and her past self. Also, we don't know if she used her past life to understand politics and economics. The first chapter also says that she started studying a lot after her accident. For all we know, her past life self might have not had much interest in economics and politics.

No you’re right, her past life might have known nothing about politics, but it’s entirely due to her past life that she, as such a young child, is capable of understanding what she studies. Otherwise ALL kids that age would be taught that level of learning material. So again, that proves that her thought process and how she thinks/perceives the world around her was affected by the memories she inherited. Which, again, makes it strange that her maturity was completely uneffected.

I think we'll just have to agree to disagree. I think her memories helped her to understand everything more easily. However, I don't think her and her past life are the same person. Her lack of maturity and concern for the people in her past life are evidence for that to me. To me, she seems to identify herself as the person she is now and not with her past life. You seem to believe that her memories make her current life is a continuation of her past life, making her lack of maturity frustrating for you. The beauty of a story is that every reader can have their own interpretation of the material. Unless the author makes a hard stance about whether or not she and her past life are the same person, I don't think we'll have a definitive answer to our argument.

Plenty of gifted children in reality have a lot of knowledge but still act like kids. Gaining knowledge about the world helped her improve her personality and be a sweeter kid because she realized the people around her weren't actually gossiping against her and actually cared about her, but at the end of the day she's a kid.
