Elijah returned to the capital to save his father. She kept her son hidden, however, Lizena discover that Elijah has a son and she was scared that Elijah will take her place. Lizena suspected that the son is the emperor's son, so she ordered to kill Elijah and her son. The Emperor also saw Carlyle and suspected that it was his son but he doesn't have the black hair like him. However, when the incident happened (Lizena ordered to kill Elijah and Carlyle) the Emperor saves them and the earing that Carlyle is wearing fall off so he was revealed as Emperor's son. In order to protect Carlyle, Elijah decided to become the empress again. Soon after, Jeremy's father died due to suicide and left a note that he was the one who planned to kill Elijah and her son. But Jeremy suspected that it's a murderer. After a while, he was appointed as the new duke. Elijah gave the Emperor some evidence of Lizena's father's crime so he was punished. After Jeremy became a duke, he discovered a picture of the crown prince (Lizena's son) with the late emperor's name (The current Emperor's half brother) Jeremy told the Emperor and they suspected that the crown prince may have the possibility that he was the late emperor's son.
