Helga since the beginning has had nothing thats hers, Her whole life the duchess reminds her she is "fake" and she stole these things, The obsession with the title is if she can't get it on her own and chooses to seeking hands from the people then she is no better than the duchess whom used her to attain so much just to give it to helianna(Helgas titles she got in society and everything she's done). She does trust them but just that anything could be taken from her from the people who gave anything to her. N0 she refuses to be in that type of situation
