Reading the comments has made me realize many things, like the earthquake in the library and the dark tunnel, as well as Mikumo's wish that somehow already came true because of Kako and Ishimaru. I feel so dumb; all of it is connected, and one could decipher how the two students died in their past lives if they noticed this immediately. The author really knows how these kinds of stories work.
